A competition has been launched to give innovative companies the chance to compete for part of an £18 million funding pot for research and development ideas.
The Technology Strategy Board, together with Scottish Enterprise, is seeking proposals for business-focussed R&D projects in the areas of sensors systems and informatics – particularly projects that could lead to innovation of products or applications that support future development.
David Bott, Director of Innovation Programmes at the Technology Strategy Board, says, “We are particularly keen to encourage innovation in new enabling technologies. These can lead to the creation of other products and processes that support future development across different application areas.”
The Technology Strategy Board has allocated up to £15 million to fund the collaborative projects and Scottish Enterprise will provide an additional £2.75 million.
Funding may be used to support Scottish companies leading on collaborative proposals or participating in other Scottish or non-Scottish led proposal.
Please find more information on the TSB website.
Deadline for registration is on the 30th of November 2011.
