The Edinburgh International Science Festival, Synthetic Biology debate proved both interesting and lively thanks to a leading panel of academics and experts and a bright, informed and opinionated audience.
Reasoned discussions took place on the economics, ethics and regulation, all of which were based on well argued science.
An interactive element brought a heightened level of audience participation when the 100+ audience answered questions at various stages of the debate, keeping the audience directly involved and providing instant feedback.
