After consultation with the public, NICE has published the Medical Technologies Evaluation Programme process guide and methods guide.
- The process guide describes how NICE selects and produces its guidance on medical technologies. The process is designed so that guidance is developed for the NHS in an open, credible, transparent and timely way allowing appropriate input from relevant stakeholders.
- The methods guide describes principles and methods used to select and assess medical technologies.
