The provision of a monitor (CRA) is a sponsor responsibility. The monitor acts as a facilitator between the sponsor and the investigator and vertifies investigator compliance with the regulations, the protocol and any other agreed requirements. The monitoring of clinical trials is part of the quality management system and gives the trial data integrity and credibility.
Monitoring is a very practical occupation and a monitor requires regulatory knowledge, administration skills, 'people skills', a pragmatic 'can do' attitude, diplomacy, confidentiality and knowledge of the protocol and study drug.
The course is a mixture of presentation, discussion, exercises and workshops. Questions are actively encouraged throughout the course.
Each participant will be given a comprehensive workbook (which acts as a handy reference after the course) and a certificate of attendance.
