Market Watch & Technology Trends in MedTech Growth Markets

The recently published Scottish Life Sciences Strategy 2011 - Creating Wealth, Promoting Health – identified medical technology, covering diagnostics and medical devices, as one of Scotland’s strongest springboards for growth. The sector has more than 150 companies ranging from global multinationals to university start-ups.

This early evening event co-hosted by Nexxus and Strathclyde Institute of Medical Devices (SIMD) Scottish SME focused Strathclyde MedTech Initiative will consider the opportunity afforded medical technology companies by growth markets for example in the East, e.g. India and China, and Latin America. It will also address growing trends in the sector as well as identifying emerging technologies.
